After lunch in Panevyzis we set of again on the A2 for the remainder of a long day in the saddle. The total distance for today (Ukmerge to Siauliai) was over 90 miles and the end comprised a series of up hill stretches which were usually very steep and hard work. Over the past two years I have become a keen cyclist and am using this interest to get myself in shape and raise money for a very worthwhile charity, namely Rugute (http://www.rugute.lt/en). I can't speak too highly of this Lithuanian charity which does so much work for young children and their families and it is the least I can do to help raise a little money to support their cause.
