Gee... I didn't know it requires so much. Hi John, this is something. Well, have to follow your training to be able at least to see you something in a mile range or around that. :-D Nice to be following you.
Have a great and addictive training! ;-)

Great blog Enjoyed reading your blog John. Thanks for organising and 'leading'. Don't forget to cut me a disc with all the photo's please. Love Nick. x
Usually very good For most of the trip other road users have been excellent. We have travelled almost 400 miles across the country so far and the detailed answer to your question is as follows: In cities the drivers are less likely to be coureous, but are still fairly well behaved and usually give as much space as the road conditions allow, however we have had some near misses. On the main routes between cities (A2 / 21 etc) the drivers were mostly very courteous and gave us loads of room. We felt very safe. On the smaller roads out in the country (around Plateliai or Taurage) the drivers are mostly good but have a tendancy to over take on blind summits or blind corners which can cause problems if cars come the other way.
Over all the main criticism I would have is that drivers tend not to anticipate what a cyclist may need to do (e.g. dodge a pot hole or two) and therefore might get too close sometimes.
However, having said all that, we have had an excellent trip where 95% of other road users were very well behaved.
thanks for the question.

Over the past two years I have become a keen cyclist and am using this interest to get myself in shape and raise money for a very worthwhile charity, namely Rugute (http://www.rugute.lt/en). I can't speak too highly of this Lithuanian charity which does so much work for young children and their families and it is the least I can do to help raise a little money to support their cause.
This blog goes a little way to detailing the events before, during and after my events for this charity, which so far have comprised of a 460+ mile circuit of Lithuania in 2011 and will soon be followed with a 50... full info
