Weekend in Battambang April 27th 2011 Hello all
This weekend I found myself at a loose end, so I headed down to Battambang (pronounced 'Battambong') where some other volunteers are based. Battambang is Cambodia's 2nd City, and I had yet to visit so it seemed the perfect time! Battambang city, aka The Bong, is pretty big and is the provincial capital of Battambang Province.

So, from February 2011 until April 2013, I am embarking on a 2 year voluntary placement via VSO in Cambodia. I will be working as a Hospital Management Adviser in a North-Western province called Banteay Meanchey, providing help and support to the clinical and administrative directors of hospitals and health centres - challenges and excitement is abound!
