Re: Hello from London Hi Pete,
Inspite of the floods they are still smiling through it all. Wonderful people and the kids are so endearing. Hope you still have the St. Christopher and you haven't been bitten by any snakes.
Keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed this post Pete! The last sentence sums it up well...'utter devastation on the one hand, laughter and smiles on the other. Seeing families uprooted and poverty exacerbated, to witnessing kindness, good spirits and perseverance in the face of such unfairness.' Sometimes it's hard to get across the balance of what you see whilst volunteering, but I think you've done it justicel. It's not always pain and misery like an Oxfam advert, so many people are living their lives happily with smiles and laughter.
Greet Jon from me, long time! Hope you're both keeping well :-)
Oh no! I've missed the King of Snakes! Great story brother Pete! Laughed my ass off and really enjoyed the short mental journey back to Cambodia. Would have loved to meet the King of Snakes as well, haha!
Things are sound here in Australia... just visited Fraser Island which was ace and will visit Whitesunday Islands tomorrow which hopefully is even better.
Have nearly a month left for OZ and will then make a stop in Bali before i come to Thailand for the November Full Moon Party.
I really DO miss you guys which is the reason why I really hope that you can make it to the Full Moon Party! As far as I have heard, Hannah and a friend of hers are in, Jon and his mses as well, I still try to convince Laura, so what about you?
Dude........resistance is futile.. come to facebook!

Excellent work Pete- good to read you are really making a difference over in Cambodia. Here in our septic isle things are calming down and anyone who can now hold a pencil is regaling us with their theories as to what has to be done. I know you access the BBC and the Guardian to keep up to date with the news but the link below to the Daily Mash is worth a look for some satire. Sample recent "story" Mancini buys entire Arsenal squad "for a bit of a laugh"

Take care and all the best.

Saint Patrick's Day Peter, what an amazing time you are having. I think though that your new friends are a bad influence, keeping you out drinkining till all hours, smoking cigars and do I notice some of the vernacular creeping in too!
Keep safe and enjoy your next week in Phnom Penh.
Love from Mum x
Gardner Pete,
If you need someone to tend the garden I shall clear my diary for the next 12 months...read a gardening book and buy a spade!
What an amazing place to be living for the next few months.
Catch up on SKYPE soon buddy.

Preah net Preah Hi Pete!
It is lovely to read your blogs! It seems like you have a great time.
Have fun in Preah net Preah and please send my love to Sam Ang and the hospital staff!!

Lovely pictures Peter How lovely to see those pictures from the other side of the world. Be careful how you use your new language as you might ask someone to marry you by mistake.

Sunday Boat Trip Hi Peter it all sounds and looks amazing, are you sure its work or did you join the gap year queue at Phnom Penh airport?
Its great to see what you are actually doing and I'd recognise those knees anywhere! Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences, you do not seem so far away.
Ian was here for the weekend and experienced the dawn wake up call and Little Rascals with the little rascals. He took it all in his stride and has even agreed to look after them whilst I go to Tascha's wedding in June provided he does not have to deal with yack in bobs. Guess we will have to have a stern word with the perp of the yack!
Its a lovely day here and the little one went up to school on his bike, he is now riding round the patio.
I phoned the gp about the jabs for my travels, they undertook to check my records and get back to me in two weeks, not bad eh?
Take really good care, love you loads Mum
is that a tug boat? Another great pugblog entry, lookslike a fine vessel. Maybe you could adopt it for the entry into summerslam 2011 carried by topless dudes? True Horninglow style. x
Amazing Pictures Is the weather very oppressive over there? Pictures are what I imagined. Totally different to London life hey but what an experience. Hope your enjoying the food.
Jean xx
Good to hear from you. Pete,
Just picked up the e-mail about your blog. Excellent stuff and glad to hear its all going well. Just a small criticism about the "sartorial " look mon ami. Er how can I put it...........it needs a bit of work. I'm getting all nostalgic for Vietnam again now, particularly the traffic. When cycling in Hoi An the sheer exhilaration and terror of making that first left turn!!!!!
Off to Canada in June starting with a stay in Toronto then a train trip across the country to Vancouver for a few days sightseeing there.
John F is applying for job(s) in the new "structure" but it seems to be a Redbridge stitch-up with all the top posts going to them.
Take care and steer clear of those Dengue mozzies!
Hello and thanks for visiting my blog!
