From Lhasa we took the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, with the line topping the 5072m Tanggu-la pass, and with 80% of the Golmund to Lhasa stretch being over 4000m, this is the world’s highest railway. It’s 160km of bridges, the costs only $4.1 billion so far!! The train ride was probably the best we had since our start!
