Edison statue under Banyon

This Banyon fig tree was 2 ft in diameter and 4 ft tall when Thomas Edison planted it. It is now the largest known Banyon Fig tree at over an acre in diameter with 350 roots.

We stopped here on the way to Pensacola, FL and spent several hours exploring the two estates. Thomas Edison bought his estate with 13 acres and two homes that were built.
