Saint Paul Outside the Walls

This is the cortyard of St. Paul's which functions as the narthex. The palm trees are a reminder of our ascent from the world to the heavely world and presence of paridise in the church.

So its been a little over a week since I have posted and it has been a busy and great week or so. Adding to the “amazing churches Jonathan saw since we last met” category, I was able to go to St. Paul Outside the Walls as well as Saint Mary Major, two of the four major basilicas of Rome (and I think that next week I go to St. John Lateran).
