Maybe that walk WAS more taxing than I thought

When we reached the Spanish Steps we were given free time to explore. We wre in the mood for gelato but remembered how expensive it was in this area. But since we were hungry and thirsty we decided to splurge. We found an outdoor cafe just around the corner from the Spanish Steps. When we were given menus and I saw that a bowl of gelato would cost me almost $7.00 I opted for a cold beer. Gail got the same while her mother ordered iced tea. I think I downed mine in near record time. Since neither Gail nor her mom had anything interesting to say I decided to rest my eyes. I WAS NOT ASLEEP!
Day Six (Thursday)

As if the regular Italian breakfast wasn't bad enough, our otherwise wonderful hotel didn't have a breakfast room that could accomodate our group. We had to walk two blocks to a tiny strip mall. The empty lots we passed were chock full of empty bottles, cardboard boxes, dog crap and waist high weeds.
