These vessels, along with a multitude of trees have been witness to centuries of Chinese history.

The huge, ancient vessels, mostly standing on a tri-part, are cast in bronze and are emblazened with thousands of Chinese characters from Buddhist scripture. They become an awsome sight. Just think of the labor of casting one of these vessels, and there are thousand's of these in various sizes around China's many temples.
