The whole city from the rooftop of the first hotel. The hotel owner showed us all the construction he was doing as well as the rooftop view from his hotel. He was so proud.

After arriving in Jodhpur, we took a rickshaw to a hotel we'd chosen out of our guidebook, only to discover it was under construction, and thus booked. The owner of the hotel (the great-grandson of the maharaja of Jodhpur no less, and with a mustache to match his royal heritage) called another guest house, who came to pick us up, and it was fantastic.
