Sunday lunch with Lan's family

Lan invited us to lunch at her brother's house on Sunday afternoon. Her and her sister-in-law prepared a feast and invited cousins and friends to join in. Our hosts were amazingly generous - Lan's brother insisted on opening (and drinking) several bottles of rice wine and whiskey. There were endless drunken toasts (primarily among the men) to friendship between Vietnam and America. Its was quite the experience!
