In Helsinki we booked a room in hostel Erottajanpuisto in the Uudemaankatu/Nylandsgatan street. This was town centre and very confortable location for us, we could to get anywhere quite fast and capable. This hostel is so good idea to book any room there - it was expensive (we paid 84 euros) for night but the condition wasn't good.
