What Do These People Do When They Get a Real Snowfall?

Actually we were told time and again that this cold snowy weather was highly irregular. Normally the Gulf Stream warms or at least moderates the British Isles. In fact, we were shocked to hear that palm trees grow farther north.

Flying over to Scotland was a breeze. Actually there was a definite lack of a breeze as the Gulf Stream seemed to have disappeared. El Niño was wreaking havoc with weather patterns both in the States and throughout Europe.
