New Mall over Orchard Rd. MRT

This huge mall was built over the Orchard Rd. MRT (subway)station. There used to be some nice open space behind the station and that's gone too.."progress" never ceases in Singapore. Notice the "ornaments" hanging from the tree in the foreground. The Christmas tree in front of the mall must be 3-4 storeys tall.

A leisurely day, still getting over jet lag

Walked around Orchard Road a bit more today. It's fascinating to see how much has changed in the 5 years since we left. Huge new shopping malls where none existed before, previous malls/hotels/offices torn down and new buildings erected in their place.
