The long journey to Sapa started very early in the morning...04.45 to be precise. We had to get up and walk to the station for the 06.10 train. A ten hour train meant that the majority of our day was spent sitting watching Northern Vietnam go by. I moved to Hong Kong in August 2007 with the intention of staying for 9 months...until I left eight and a half years later....I finally made a move from HK and spent 2016 in Sydney, Australia. 2017 has included Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, Peru, Ireland and Sweden. My favourite adventure: I went travelling in Asia and Europe for six months, taking the Trans-Siberian railway back to England. We managed to get from Thailand to London with no airplanes!
