It’s the little things that wear you down. No hot water for the shower because the gas bottle has run out, never any hot water for shaving because there’s only a cold water pipe to the bathroom sink, the fly invested messy kitchen, the fridge that’s jammed full of stuff so you can’t find anything, the cold in the mornings, the darkness.
