You can't come this far and not see the Pacific Ocean so Sunday, August 19th we headed for the coast. It's so different from home. Much of it unsettled and forested. Driving from Corvallis to the coast on the back roads it was also startling to see the vast areas of clear cut forest. I live in Beverly ,Massachusetts with my two daughters Maya and Maxanne, and my wife Karen. Karen and I cruised up the coast and across Alaska in the summer of 2008 our daughters Maya and Maxanne joined us for the cruise part of the trip. I love to travel and experience new things.
