Thai Whiskey

They called it whiskey, but I am not sure of what it was. You get this jar of dry rice and herbs, fill it with water and wait 25 minutes. Drink and start over again (after a few refills we started filling it with beer). I thought it tasted great, but everyone else cringed when they sipped it.
