The deck in front of our room...there were tarpon jumping in the river..! Sabalo is word for tarpon....Some of the fish are 6 feet long and weigh over 100 kilos...

We took the overnight boat from Ometepe to the village of San Carlos, located at the head of the Rio San Juan.
