Saturday 25th October 2008 This morning was drizzling rain as Mary drove us to the Pier to take us by ferry for the 35 minute trip to Waiheke Island and disembarked at the Matiatia Wharf. I am a "young" traveller from just outside of Canberra, the capital of Australia and have just recently retired. For the past several years I wanted to do some volunteer work in orphanages in Vietnam and this "dream" came true for me in 2006 and I returned again in 2007 to Vietnam and Thailand.
