We went to Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore in Michigan today. There was a beach that was supposedly behind the biggest dune. It ended up being about 2 miles behind it over several more dunes and lots of sand. It was a pretty beach there though, and we had it mostly all to ourselves, because everyone else had given up on walking to it.
