The San Giovanni festival in Florence is every year on June 24th and it honors this patron saint of the city. Festivities begin with a flag performance and is followed by a parade that winds through the city to the Santa Croce piazza where there is a ballgame of Calcio. Life is a series of adventures, and here I find myself resting before the next one begins! Having never stepped on an airplane until I was 21, (I'm 31 now), I'm a bit amazed looking back that I've been able to see the places I have (given the limited budget!) in such a short time.
