Cart path in Pompeii

I can only wonder how many times a cart had to tread the same path in order for a rut like that to exist.

Growing up as "that dorky kid that read a lot," I had a lot of books on subjects that nowadays I watch on the Discovery Channel or as a documentary on PBS on TV.
