Machu Picchu in cloud, Peru

We reached Machu Picchu at about 6.30am to make it there for sunrise, after setting off at 5am. At 5am it was still dark, so we had to wear headtorches to find our way along the cobbled paths (it was very exciting!). When we finally reached Machu Picchu it was still surrounded in cloud and looked very mysterious. So no romantic sunrise as we had expected, but we were still in awe at the enchanting Inca citadels high up in the mountains.
