On route to matheran

It was a beautiful (and a little scary) ride up to Matheran. Luckily, we had the comfy 1st class car, on the way to where we caught this train, we took a regular, very crowded train. On that train, I was almost hanging out the door, holding on for dear life. That wouldn't have been fun looking out over the edge of the mountain!

We traveled to a little hill station about 100 km east of Mumbai. This little hill town doesn't allow any type of motorized transport, a great respite from the traffic of Mumbai!
