Hanoi is where we landed from Bangkok. Our first impressions of Vietnam. People were friendly, smilely people. Our hotel was comfortable,clean and tidy.We soon realized there was one thing we had to practice- the method to crossing the road! I qualified as a teacher in 1997 and have been teaching ever since. Thoroughly enjoying my job, I took the first brave steps to having a career break. Selling my flat and minimalising my belongings and gradually throwing useful travelling things into my backpack ready for the first leg of the journey on Monday 23rd July.
