We headed to Akaroa, which is 50 or so miles away from Christchurch, and stopped along a beach recommended by Liz and Warrick. Instead of sand, the beach had a shore of very round and smooth rocks. Then we stopped by a small art gallery which included some jewelry made out of these rocks.
