Hello from Timbuktu! To be quite honest, Timbuktu was nothing more than a small dusty city filled with Mosques, but hey, we made it! What we will most remember about Timbuktu, is the unbearably loud chanting that started at about 4 am and continued on until about 6am from the various Mosques near to where we were camping. AfricaBound

Hi! Welcome to our travelblog page. We initally called ourselves "AfricaBound" because we spent a year traveling around Africa from August 2007 to August 2008. At that time, little did we even think that we could go on another extended trip. Somehow through much perseverance and determination we were able to save up for yet another extended trip, this time as sort of a honeymoon.
