Sept 18 - 23 Sept 18: Cycled 53km from Lhasa to Ganden monastery...45 flat along the meandering river with beautiful poplar trees in fall colours then 500m UP over 8 km on a steep winding road. Steepest road I have encountered in all of Tibet ! Well, I started my sabbatical July 1, 2007 and I have a year to refresh myself, explore the world...and analyse data, submit some publications, and present at conferences ! I wish I could send you personal emails to keep in touch but I just don't have the time nor inclination to huddle over a computer in a dark internet cafe corner when the exciting world outside is beckoning me to explore, play and adventure !
