Fitzford Cottages

Constructed in 1862 to designs by Theophilus Jones, the 36 rubble- stone dwellings stand in groups of four over the canal, overlooked in turn by the gothic tower of St Mary Magdalene, built by the local Duke of Bedford for their spiritual needs.

Sunday October 21st This morning we were away soon after 7am as the mist sat above the meadows. The countryside was amazing with an early morning frost evident in some places and the sun rising over the misty fields.
