Campsite on the Weser

We worry a bit about getting flooded out as the Weser is quite high with the recent heavy rains in Germany but nonetheless choose a site by the river. The campsite is named Campingplatz Beheizten Freibad Gieselwerder or Camping Heated Outdoor Pool Gieselwerder. The woman insists on us taking two stickers to advertise the campsite. We don't use the heated pool because of the cool temperatures and heavy rains. We are able to have dinner under a shelter however.

We get back on our bikes after overdoing the fatty foods and contemporary art of Kassel. The ride is very pleasant as we are finally going downhill! as we follow first the Fulda out of Hessen where it joins the Weser through Lower Saxony en route to the North Sea.
