After much debate we decided to take the cheaper but longer option to get to Luang Prabang from Chiang Mai, which was a 1-day bus journey and a 2-day boat ride. It was dragged out and very uncomfortable but the scenery was amazing so we didn't mind it too much. Welcome to our travel blog! We should have started this a long time ago as we've pretty much covered Europe now. However this is going to be our big trip, for Sonny going back to live in Australia and for me to emigrate to Australia. We met in Oz 4 years ago and he followed me back to the uk.
