Pig Trough Boats on Lake Lugu - the "Kingdom of Women"

The Mosuo who live on Lake Lugu are often described as matriarchal. The boats are used for fishing, transport and in the 'Walking marriage'. Women and men do not live together. Women can choise as many partners as they like in their lifetime. The men visit women overnight.
