OD Well the first full, sort of, day on the trail. We both slept well last night. It did rain early in the morning. My name is Matthew Mooney. I am the proud son of two Appalachian Trail walkers. Pat and Debbie Mooney embarked on this great journey in April 2007. An ankle injury pulled them off early, but they are still plugging away when they have time.
