Musical Instruments Museum

The museum was created to focus on the instruments played every day by people worldwide. The museum has a collection of more than 8,000 instruments from more than 200 cultures. The immersive exhibits foster and appreciation of diverse cultures and the craftmanship and traditions of instrument makers from the past to the present. The state-of-the-art, interactive media enable guests to see the instruments, hear their sounds, and observe them being played in their original contexts.

Olivia and Luke came out to Arizona for a visit. Rather than bringing them out to Quartzsite, we enjoyed a hotel in Phoenix during their stay. We visited the Heard Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, drove the 36-mile Castle Hot Springs OHV trail, hiked half of the Cholla Trail on Camel Back Mountain, enjoyed the Medieval Times Dinner, and the Musical Instruments Museum.
