Martinstor

Martinstor (Martin's Gate) in Freiburg am Bresgau. The Medieval city gate dates to the 13th century. Rebuilt in 1901. "The Kaiser-Str. ends, to the S., at the Martins-Tor, restored and provided with a turreted roof in 1901".--Baedeker 1911. DSC_0769

Viking Sigrun sailed overnight from Basel to Breisach in Germany. In the process the river cruise ship traversed the Grand Canal d'Alsace (Rheinseitenkanal).
