We wanted to drive a portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway while visiting Asheville. The scenic Parkway runs along the mountain ridges from Virginia, where it connects with Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park, through North Carolina to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
