Hotel Habana Libre. Opened in 1958 as the Havana Hilton. Designed by Welton Becket. The hotel was nationalized in 1960. Renovated between 1996 and 1997 as the Hotel Tryp Habana Libre. 23 Calle L entre 23 y 25. DSC_0051p1

At 7:30 in the morning on Thursday, we looked out of our cabin window to find Carnival Paradise gliding past Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña.
