Underground City Tour

Bust of Chief Seattle. Seattle is the only major city in the United States named after an indigenous person. He was known to be a skillful orator and he worked out agreements with white settlers to his tribe's advantage. I first learned about Chief Seattle when I read a poster in New Zealand back in 1986 when I was a teenager. That poster had a speech about environmentalism attributed to him. I've since learned that that claim may not be entirely accurate as the speech may have been lost in translation.
