Hotel Sidi Driss, Matmata

The series of pits that make up this old Berber house was used as the setting for Lars's Homestead in the first Star Wars film (Episode IV); the set is now a hotel and as you can see, they've kept all the props and fittings.

Though I enjoyed the films, I wouldn’t say that I’m a Star Wars fan so to speak, but I did know that some parts of the movies were filmed in Tunisia; in particular, that there were scenes filmed in the Tunisian desert which looked amazing.
