Hello All,

I think it may be Saturday! Not quite sure now of the days of the week, a sure sign that you are REALLY enjoying the holiday. We have spent today in Aruba, a Dutch Island very near to Venezuela. We saw a tour on this stop for a ride out in a semi submersible ship, well a sort of boat with deep hull and glass windows so you can see the fish, coral reef and various wrecks. Most of the wrecks we saw were the other passengers on the tour! Bit of a gathering of old moaners and at least two complaining of being seasick – doh ! it's a trip out to sea in a small boat, take the hint! Anyway we did see a few interesting bits but the snorkeling the other day far exceeded this for seeing wildlife so I guess once more we live and learn and recall why we don't usually do these organised trips :-) We did however have some time to wander around, avoiding the large array of tourist shops lined up to sell you watches and diamonds and found one or two places to buy some lovely and genuine local

crafts not made in China – haha! We did however fail on one count and that was to pick up some postcards to send home. I think we are going to have to say that you may all have to take this blog as your postcard as we dont stop again now until Acapulco so will probably beat home any cards we send!
On a brighter note, we seem to have made an impression on the Manager of the Rhodes restaurant as we discovered that there is a special gourmet meal on the 21st with a wine expert giving a talk through the meal and although they were full at 40 seats, he has squeezed in four more for ourselves and Judith and Philip. Bonus!

We had an interesting day yesterday as we had the private viewing of our wedding pictures! 171 to choose from and we had to watch a slideshow saying yes, no or maybe as they went through. Umm neither of us like having our picture taken so after several no's the photographer said, you do really need to have some of the ceremony! Arrgh it was hot up there, we had been in the sun the day before and I did not realize that I looked so pink in the face, thank heavens for photoshop Pro. Nathan assures me he can “sort out” the rather pink looking face ! It was quite comical as we proceeded as it seemed that we were taking turns to say No for one reason or another. The shots around the ship however are absolutely lovely, despite the subjects so we have chosen a good many of these so all is not lost.

Well we are off to a sailaway party in a short while so I will sign off for now and post this on the blog with a few pictures and just remind those of you interested that we will be doing the Panama transit on Monday ( 4 hours behind you in time) so the ships webcam may be worth a look then.

Love Nigel & Edina
