The Australian odyssey

After more than five years of talking about it we have finally embarked on our around-Australia odyssey, grey nomad style. Both Ben and I have seen plenty of the rest of the world so we figured it was well past time to see some of our own amazing country instead of talking to tourists about their Australian experiences and being forced to say 'No, I haven't been there'.

To keep Ben and I company over the next eight months our four-legged friends, Daphne and Travis, are also along for the ride. The plan is simple - pack the car, hitch the caravan and head North for an awesome adventure.

While I'm sure we will at times lament the loss of indoor plumbing as we trek to the amenities block at 3am Ben and I are so grateful to have the opportunity to adventure without a plan and essentially without a deadline.

I think this feeling of liberty is something few people get to experience (at least until they are 70 years old!) so we definitely won't be taking it for granted. Life is good!
