The bay eviewed from our home stay patio
Hello everybody,
Yesterday was about a 3 hour drive up from Auckland. Took us a lot
more as we stopped a few times. The only larger town up here is
Whangarei (about 45'000 pop.) The roads are VERY winding and hilly.

Driving on the left is ok but you have to be at your best all the time.
I did it in the UK but the roads were better. They have ferns here the
size of trees. The vegetation is beautiful (which they call "bush")
This area is called the "Bay of Islands" Discovered by Captain James
Cook in 1769. The coastline is considered one of the most beautiful
in the world. I will try to put a few picture on but the internet is very
slow.
