We had a chance for a lie in this morning however, four people from our room went horse trekking so all hopes of this were dashed!

On the bus by 9.30am, heading for State Highway 6 (this goes on for 435km).

Once at Cape Foulwind and Tauranga Bay we walked to one of New Zealands largest seal colonies. (This is also New Zealands closest point to Australia).

An amazing photo opportunity came from Punakaiki (pancake rocks and blow holes).

Next stop Greymouth where we are told to shop for fancy dress outfits for tonights party (the theme is green! - as it is St Patricks Day tomorrow).

Once we arrive at the hostel we are introduced to Les (the 84 year old owner). We are told dinner will be at 7pm.

We are both excited and dubious about dinner as the menu is - steak, venison stew, potatoes, veg, salad, pasta, quiche and bread.

Yum! The most delicious meal we have eaten in 3 months.

Off to get changed for the party - things could get interesting!
