As we didn't make it to pancake rocks yesterday, we were up and about to get there this morning before heading onto Jackson for our final night in South Island. Everyone got talking to guy on the campsite who was in a Sharabang which apparently originated from Wales. Den was very impressed and declared he was going to get one for himself. Considering Jan didnt think he'd ever leave South Wales for this trip, hes now decided on his next visit and getting a Sharabang! We got to pancake rocks and blowholes in Punakaiki which are so called because of the way they have formed in stacks. Apparently scientists don't know why this is, and it is one of natures last secrets (or so it said on the sign) anyway they were good to see, and the waves were crashing in all around them. Just as we were walking back, the heavens opened and we got soaking wet. Luckily there was (another) cafe to dry off in, so we got the brews in and a bite to eat before heading off to Jackson.

This campsite was really lovely, and probably the best one yet. We put some washing in before

setting off to walk up to a waterfall that was only 20 mins or so away. Back at the van we tried to gather all our things up and repack our bags-even though we'd not really bought anything more nothing ever seems to fit back in as it did in the first place. The campsite had a great kitchen facility and Jan and Rhyd managed to make a cracking tea out of all the bits that we had left over in the van. We all pretty much had an early night as we have to been up and away tomorrow to leave plenty of time to get back to the airport, ready for our flight up north.
