Hello All,

Today we actually managed to get up in time for our free breakfast (well toast and juice!) at the Base hostel before jumping on the Kiwi Experience bus - was a little worried to start with as the driver was a big, scary, stressed-out she man! but wasn't too bad when we finally got chatting to her over the bbq and she had chilled out a bit. Kaikoura is such a beautiful place, really small sleepy town but so peaceful. After checking into our dorm we took a 3 hour walk to the local seal coloney, the sun even came out for a bit today aswell woo hoo! The seals were fab and we got to go so close to them, so that's another animal to add to our long list 😊

We went to a local butcher who was really friendly and were adventurous with kebabs! Then had a group bus bbq, really good laugh, J was teaching a group of lads how to cook properly he he and then we went to cheer them on playing footie. Sharing the dorm with a lovely couple of girls and a really friendly guy called Scott who we feel a little bit sorry for being the only male with 5 girls but he is coping with us well.

Set off at 8.30am heading for Nelson tomorrow night, stopping at Picton and Blenheim on the way for scenery walks.

Hope you are all okay, we love you lots. Xx Xx
