Kaikoura Walk

March 9th 2007We walked along the beautiful cliff tops of the Kaikoura peninsular which was bracing. We kept our eyes out for the whales which abound offshore but saw none. The tide prevented us returning by the full length of the rock shelf that forms the bottom of the cliffs so we just visited in from the car park end. There were splendid rock pools and basking seals. At a roadside stall I had mussels whilst some sheep rushed by.
