Another week of classes have gone by and another exciting weekend exploring the Otago landscape. Today, Marie, Amy and I - the three Canadians - boarded a train. The university was nice enough to plan a Welcome Train Trip for all the international students and we were sure to take full advantage of this travel opportunity. The landscape was full of rolling hills, sheep, the odd hairy goat and lots of beautiful trees. Yes, the grass is green here in New Zealand but was beginning to fade yellow and brown as it is actually Fall here. We spent the entire trip leaning out to grab pictures, as the windows in the train caused too much glare. On the return trip, the train stopped at this region called Pukerangi - which Marie was nice enough to mime out the name! What a great day on the train.
