So nice to pop into.
We have now been home for 2 weeks, sort of. One week at home and then up to Taupo for a couple of days to inspect Annemarie and Carrardos new house. Most impressed and we know that it will serve them well for family holidays. Di and I still think about a move to Taupo as we love it there so much, but committing to leave Wellington would be very hard. From Taupo we went over the hill to Hastings to catch up with the kids. So nice to see them and have lots of hugs. We did have some trepidation returning to NZ during August, into the cold weather but we have been pleasantly surprised at how lucky we have been with very settled weather and not being to cold. Also quite busy catching up with things around the house and also catching up with everyone. Still have to catch up with a number of people. While here in Hasting we have watched the 2 girls in their cross country runs and are so pleased with Ella coming in 9th and Holly at 4th in her race. Now we wait for Holly's inter school. Pam and Warwick have been down

here for a few days as well. So good to see them, catch up on all the news and spend time just pottering about.

When we get back home there are a number of projects that need attention. Missing the English country side and pubs but will have to wait until next year.

Chris and his friend Kristoffer arrive for a weeks fishing at the end of this month so I'm really looking forward to that. Just hope that the weather is kind for us.

Then it is the count down to the excursion for Di and I, plus Amy, Jeremy, Holly and Ella to Norway for Christmas. It is very rare that the conversation doesn't turn to this at least once a day. So looking forward to it. Will catch up again as things happen. Pip/Rod.
