Right. Where's the River.Right. Where's the River.Right. Where's the River.

Chris and Kristoffer arrive in Napier Airport ready for a weeks fishing.
Yes, Busy, but really not. Just enjoying being home here and enjoying the various things we have happening. We seem to journey back and forth to Amy's a lot and we have now caught up with most people after our time away. With the school holidays happening in late September we had Holly and Ella at home with us and then we all headed up to Hastings. Di is going into work on the odd day and it is amazing how time flies.

On the last day of September Chris and his friend Kristoffer arrived from Norway for a weeks fishing in Turangi. Di and I picked him up at Napier airport early Friday and after a couple of hours with Amy, Jeremy and the kids Chris, Kristoffer, Jeremy and myself headed off for the 2hour drive to Taupo. Great to see Chris and have the nice drive to catch up on all the news. Based in Turangi at the southern end of Lake Taupo, with the famous Tongariro River running through it, we settled in at the Creel Fishing Lodge for some good fishing hoping the weather would be kind. We had a mixed bag with the weather but

A quick catch up before heading to Lake Taupo.
even though it was equal amount rain{some times torrential}and sun shine we enjoyed having no wind. It was a magic week. The guys fished from early morning{ I slept in } with a break for an early lunch, then fishing through until dark, about 7 in the evening. We all did well with a mixture of spent fish {recovering from spawning } and some fantastic fresh run fish heading upstream to start their spawning. It is a magic place to fish and because Chris and I like to walk to get away from the crowds we enjoy the bush walks up and down the river. I consider myself so very lucky to share a passion for fishing with Chris and that it brings him back every so often to fish in NZ.

Now we look forward to filling the next 9 weeks here at home with lots to do. Then in mid December we head back to Norway, with Amy, Jeremy, Holly and Ella to enjoy a wonderful Christmas with Chris, Hege, Lilly and Stella. So So looking forward to that and the girls on both sides of the world are so looking forward to it. Will catch up
